WE WANT YOU!!!!!
For this current school year, we really need help with both, Teacher Appreciation Week (5/7-5/11) and Sweet End to School Celebration (6/1). If you would like to help, kindly email me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
In the interest of being transparent with our parent community, we are a board of 5 people with a few dedicated volunteers. We truly need some more hands on deck for the next school year to be able to successfully support our staff, parents and children. ANY amount of time you can give would be greatly appreciated. Please email directly to help @ email@example.com.
Fall is here, although the weather doesn't really scream harvest time! Yikes! We are well into our second month of school and we wanted to give you some updates and information.
We would like to reiterate that the PTA will be sending all important communications directly to parents for this school year. If you are a class parent @ TES, you will be responsible for sending out information that pertains to your individual class. Of course, you can always direct your class to our site which has a google calendar, a bulleted list of this month's events and an archived blog with detailed information. If you have any questions, please email us firstname.lastname@example.org.
The next general Coffee Talk will be held on Friday, October 13th at 9:00am at the General Store in Oldwick. She will be discussing IEP's, 504's, and IDEA for the education of our parents, administrators, and teachers. All Parents/Guardians, Faculty and Administrators are welcomed to attend.
The PTA will host its 2nd Candidates Night on Monday, October 23rd at 7pm in the OTS Cafeteria. This is an excellent opportunity to meet the upcoming BOE candidates and hear their views & plans for our school community. The PTA will ask a series of questions and then there will be a Q&A at the end. All are encouraged to attend. New Year...New Endeavors...
Are we all settled into the 2017-2018 school year? We hope so! Your Tewksbury PTA has decided to try something new this school year..a BLOG! The great thing about a blog is that every entry will be archived so it will be easy for parents to look up information. We have named our blog "Tiger Pride". Why, you may ask? Well, when our new board met this past summer, we decided one of our major goals would be to highlight and celebrate all the wonderful things happening in our schools, clubs and athletic clubs/fields. We have sent communication to the faculty to provide us with all the "scoop" this year! We also welcome any information our fellow parents can provide. Please email us at email@example.com. We hope you will like it!
As you may notice, we also have a new website. We'll be working diligently to keep you up to date on important dates and events within our schools. Please check our homepage for a google calendar and a bulleted list of events. If you are part of a local organization and want to promote a community event, please let us know. We are also going to utilize our PTA Facebook page this school year. If you are into social media, we kindly ask that you like our "Tewksbury NJ PTA" page. We will use our Facebook page to remind parents of events, as well as provide a place for parents to provide/seek information to and from one another.
Also, for all those who have an account with My School Anywhere, there is an app for parents! How cool is that? Members of the PTA will have our school directory at their fingertips. To install the app, please go to:
The PTA would especially like to promote our first General Meeting on October 3rd! We invite you all to come out-we'll bring the coffee! We welcome any suggestions for topics to cover in the future! Please let us know as we are here for you! Also, we are holding our 2nd Candidates Night on Monday, October 23rd. This a wonderful opportunity to meet the candidates for this year's election. They will all be asked the the same questions regarding pressing issues in our community and then the evening will end with a Q&A from the audience. We encourage you all to attend.
That all folks...for now! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out at firstname.lastname@example.org. Here's to an amazing school year!
