Thank you to the BOE Candidates, OTS 8th Grade Student Government Officers and community attendees for joining us for Candidates Night 2023! And a special thanks to our Moderator, Jessica Methot, and IT Support, Nate Joyce, for keeping things on track. Questions were created and asked by the 8th graders and are as follows: 1. What inspired you to run for the BOE? 2. Can you provide some examples of how you worked with other people to solve problems? 3. What do you like about our school district and why? 4. What are some changes you would like to see in our school district and how would you go about helping to make those changes? 5. What would you prioritize to better support our community as a Board of Education member? 6. This is a challenging and time consuming volunteer position, how do you plan to adjust your schedule to fully commit not just the time but effort for this important role? 7. If you don’t win this election, how would you still commit the time and effort to support our schools?
